Environmental Policy

Grade 2 Structural repairs Ltd is committed to protecting and enhancing the environment. This applies to all of its operations, including it's main activities of building and civil engineering. We will review our practices in the light of advances in technology and new understanding in Health and Safety and environment. We believe the company has a responsibility not to compromise the ability of future generations to sustain their needs.

Use of materials: At the request of the client we will wherever possible, provide guidance on the use of materials and products from sustainable sources and which are reusable or recyclable and produced In a way which reduces damage to the environment.

Waste and recycling: We will reduce wastage of materials through good work practices. We will monitor waste levels and identify opportunities for reuse or recycling of waste.

Working Practiced: We will take reasonable actions that are consistent with our clients requirement, during both planning and construction stages, to minimise environmental damage, disruption or nuisance. We will at all times endeavor to keep our sites clean and tidy and this extends to any adjoining areas that may be affected by impacts from the site. We are committed to the prevention of pollution of the air, ground or water.

Designers, Suppliers and Sub-contractors: We will ensure that designers, sub-contractors and major suppliers are aware of this policy and apply standards compatible with our own.

Employee awareness: We will instruct all staff on environmental awareness and understand and ensure that work activities are carried out in accordance with this policy by undertaking suitable training.

Nature: We are committed to the conservation of wildlife and nature on our sites and to ensuring minimum disturbance to the environment through its activities.

Compliance: We are committed to comply with all legal requirements and other relevant standards and guidelines and to implement programmes and procedures to ensure this. This will include suitable training of staff, whether directly or indirectly employed.

Risk Reduction: We will operate in a manner designed to identify and reduce risk and protect our employees and others in the vicinity of our operations by employing safe technologies and operating procedures and by being prepared for emergencies. We will make available to our employees, information related to any of our operations, which we believe cause environmental harm of those health or safety hazards. We will instruct employees to report any condition that creates a danger to the environment or pose a health or safety hazards and implement corrective and preventative action.

Public Policy and Public Education: We will provide information to the public and will insist with public tours of our sites, consistent with safety requirements, and will work with communities near our sites to arrange dialogue and exchange of other public organisations.

Participation in Environmental Organizations: We will allow our employees to participate in and support the work of environmental organizations for the advancement of the environmental protection.

Continual Improvement: We will set regular objectives and target to ensure continual improvement in our environmental performance.
