Process & Energy

Grade 2 now enjoys preferred contractor status for the lntergen organization.

Using our core strengths, we have carried out a number of projects for the organization in both the North West and the South of England.

Working in a Process and Energy environment demands the highest levels of safety training both at operative and staff level. Our structured training recognised the changing environments in which we work. Our programme is constantly developed to cope with any changes, leaving our operatives competent to work in a power station, or on top of a 15 storey scaffold.

Ground Works

Grade 2 Structural Repairs carry out groundworks which vary in size from small plinths and retaining walls to large concrete bases.

All works are carried out from excavation to finished concrete and are completed in house by our trained certified operatives, who are C.O.S.H.H compliant and supervised throughout the work.

We are currently responsible for the design and installation of several projects at the prestigious Rocksavage Power Plant in Runcorn, Cheshire.

The following pictures show illustrations of four concrete bases in the power plant in which the specification had to include the weight load of l 50 tonnes.

All plinths were designed to achieve maximum weight load and to reach the clients designed specification.

Telecommunications

We have now carried out a number of cellular base station construction projects throughout the UK.

We pride ourselves on working to tight schedules in difficult conditions, to deliver the infrastructure works to the emerging telecommunications industry.

Utilising our skillbase of specialist operatives, we can offer a full service of construction methods to overcome, access and build problems.

Grade 2 has completed complex projects integrating cellular base stations in existing buildings in order to ensure minimum distortion to the environment. We have built base stations in a range of different locations along with adapting existing infrastructure to accommodate the telecommunications equipment.

All the works are carried out by trained operatives who have undertaken a specialist-training scheme. The scheme has been developed by Grade 2 working closely with a major telecommunications project management organization. In doing this, we have been able to target the specific risks related to the construction of base stations and train our operatives accordingly. We feel with our constant commitment to training, we can maintain our high standards of quality without compromising safety.
